THE STORY
About 11 years ago I started reselling with the idea of making a little extra money. I didn't expect to find a new passion that was so exciting. I love the hunt and I love the idea of finding items that are being tossed aside and putting them back into the circulation of the world. Along the way I found a passion for vintage as well as high end well kept pre-owned clothes.
In 2018, I created Blues City Vintage and focused and vintage and vintage alone. Certain life events happened shortly after and I packed up all of my inventory and put it in storage.
Here we are in 2025 and back in May I brought Blue City Resale to life. Although my main niche' will be vintage, I will be selling a little bit of anything that has value that someone else will cherish.
DOUG AUSTIN: Owner
Doug is the owner and creator of Blues City Resale. Doug handles all sourcing, photography of clothing, listing, inventory management and shipping of the products. LEE-ANN: Director Of Vintage Revival
When Lee-Ann is not busy in her career as a research scientist, she is helping with Blues City Resale. Lee-Ann helps with stain treatments, washing, ironing and prepping of the garments before the photo taking process. Lee-Ann's knowledge of how chemicals react with different types of stains is incredibly value and helps us restore items you wouldn't think are possible.
ROCCO: Good Boy
This is Rocco. He lives here at Blue City Resale headquarters. When he's not begging for treats, he's here in my office laying behind my chair wanting attention. Rocco is always up for the task of providing company while we work.
STEVE: Also A Good Boy
Steve is recently new to Blues City Resale headquarters, but he is just as much part of the family as anyone else. Steve also likes to keep us company and scream for attention, but he also drives us a little crazy. If he doesn't have kitten zoomies, he marching from room to room looking for pets.
We have an extensive Q&A process. We stain treat, we wash, sometimes we soak, we stain treat again, we lint roll, iron and lint roll again.
We always try our best to keep pet hair off our items before shipping them to customers, but we do this out of our house so I'm sure it will happen from time to time. We apologize if part of Rocco or Steve ever end up in your house.

CAYDE: Photo Assistant
Cayde has been with me for quite some time now. Cayde likes to assist in the photography process. You will see Cayde in photos holding down size tags that won't stay flat and pointing out those hard to see stains that are in photos.
I do my best to examine each piece of clothing to the best of my ability, but sometimes things are just going to get missed. Please feel free to reach out should you receive an item with a flaw that was not disclosed in the photo.
